Post & Rail Fencing

Post & Rail Fences

Our traditional post and rail fences are crafted from durable Australian Timbers. Norwood Post and Rail is an investment that not only provides an effective barrier for livestock but will enhance and add value to your property for years to come. It can also enhance parks and open space environments where pedestrian control is necessary to create barriers and in the use of handrails.

Fences can follow undulating or sloping terrain and can follow curves or bends. Rails butt together inside the mortice and do not require fixings. Norwood Post and Rail Fencing can be combined with electric or plain wires to provide secure, stock proof fencing. Norwood Post and Rail Fencing can be adapted for a variety of uses such as ménages/arenas, stable fit outs and more.

Gates are available in standard sizes from 1.2 to 3.6m (gate opening). Gate length is 50mm shorter than the listed size. This means that the gate fits an opening of the size mentioned on the list. For example, a 2.4m gate is 2350mm long and gate posts need to be set 2.4m apart. All gates are 1.2m high.

"Thanks so much to the team at Norwood for your help in helping me decide on a truly beautiful fence. Both my husband Steve and I still come home and can’t believe the transformation to our property. The spotted gum looks amazing and has already received votes of approval from our neighbours and friends."

Debbie and Steven, Red Hill Victoria

"I just wanted to say thanks for the extra work in supplying the extra posts and rails for our fence. The rest of the fence and gates are now all in and the front entrance and driveway have come up a treat. The gates. I think they are a "work of art" and are easy to use. I can't wait for the rest to be finished."

John Hobart, Tasmania

"Ian and the team were so helpful when our fencer suddenly closed his business. They worked with us and a new fencer to get the timber order sorted directly. They also provided great advice on oiling and maintaining the timber. We purchased our post and rail hardwood and a lanolin based oil both of which look fantastic. We are so happy with our new fence and highly recommend Norwood."
